1) Recite Sura Fatiha for Lady Nargis Khatoon mother of Imam Zaman(ajtfs) ,
2) Say a Salam to Imam Mahdi (ajtfs) "Assalmao Alayka Ya Sahib Asr wal zaman "
3) Say a salam to Imam Hussain ( as) "Asalaamo alayka Ya Aba Abdillah"
4.Dua Hujjah - Allhumma kunle waiyekal
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَ عَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ
اے اللہ تیرے لئے روزہ رکھتا ہوں تیرے رزق سے افطار کرتا ہوں اور تجھی پر میرا بھروسہ ہے
Translation: O my Allah, for Thee, I fast, and with the food Thou gives me I break the fast, and I rely on Thee.
Say when the first morsel of food is taken
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ اغْفِرْ لِ
خدا کے نام سے شروع جو رحمٰن و رحیم ہے اے وسیع مغفرت والے مجھے بخش دے
Translation: In the name of Allah, the Beneficient, the Merciful, O He whose indulgence is boundless, forgive me
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) used to say the following :
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْنَا وَ عَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْنَا فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
خدا کے نام سے اے اللہ ہم نے تیرے لئے روزہ رکھا تیرے رزق سے افطار کیا پس اسے ہماری طرف سے قبول فرما بیشک تو سننے والا جاننے والا ہے
Translation: In the name of Allah, O Allah, we fast, and with the food Thou gives us we break the fast, an obligation we fulfill, and Thou art Hearer, Knower
Iftar Duas From Iqbal Aamal Sayyed Ibn Tawus)
يَا عَظيمُ يَا عَظيمُ أَنْتَ إِلٰهي لَا إِلٰهَ لِي غَيْرُك، اِغْفِرْ لِيَ اَلذَّنْبَ الْعَظيم، إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ الْعَظِيمَ إِلَّا الْعَظِيم
"اے عظیم، اے عظیم! تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ میرے بڑے گناہوں کو بخش دے، یقیناً بڑے گناہوں کو تیرے سوا کوئی معاف نہیں کر سکتا۔"
Translation: O Mighty O Mighty, there is no other God but You. Forgive my great sins, indeed who can forgive the great sins except the Mighty.
The Prophet (as) – may the best peace be on him – has been narrated as saying, “All the past sins of whoever eats food and says the following will be forgiven,
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَ قُوَّةٍ
"تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جس نے مجھے اپنے رزق سے یہ کھانا کھلایا، بغیر میرے کسی زور و قوت کے۔"
Translation: „Praise be to God Who feeds me this from His Own Sustenance without me having to exert any efforts.‟ ”
The following supplications to be said at the time of eating is narrated through a chain of documents to Al-Tabarsi, narrated on the authority of the Divine Leaders – may the best peace and blessings be bestowed upon them.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُطْعِمُ وَ لا يُطْعَمُ وَ يُجِيرُ وَ لا يُجارُ عَلَيْهِ وَ يَسْتَغْنِي وَ يُفْتَقَرُ إِلَيْهِ
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى مَا رَزَقْتَنِي مِنْ طَعَامٍ وَ إِدَامٍ فِي يُسْرٍ مِنْكَ وَ عَافِيَةٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ كَدٍّ مِنِّي وَ مَشَقَّةٍ
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَيْرِ الْأَسْمَاءِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْأَرْضِ وَ السَّمَاءِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
اللَّهُمَّ أَسْعِدْنِي مِنْ [فِي] مَطْعَمِي هَذَا بِخَيْرِهِ وَ أَعِذْنِي مِنْ شَرِّهِ وَ أَمْتِعْنِي مِنْ نَفْعِهِ وَ سَلِّمْنِي مِنْ ضَرِّهِ.
اللہ کا شکر ہے جو کھلاتا ہے مگر کھاتا نہیں، جو پناہ دیتا ہے مگر پناہ نہیں مانگتا، دولت دیتا ہے مگر غریب نہیں ہوتا۔ اے میرے خدا! حمد تیرے لیے ہے اس کھانے اور رزق کے لیے جو تو نے میرے لیے آسانی اور تندرستی کے ساتھ اور مجھے سخت جدوجہد کیے بغیر فراہم کیا۔ خدا کے نام سے جو بہترین نام ہے خدا کے نام سے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا رب۔ خدا کے نام سے - جس کے نام سے زمین و آسمان میں کوئی ہمیں نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتا۔ وہ سب کچھ سننے والا اور سب کچھ جاننے والا ہے۔ اے میرے خدا! براہِ کرم مجھے اس کھانے سے خوشحال کر دے۔ اور مجھے اس کے شر سے پناہ دے، مجھے اس کے فائدے پہنچا دے اور مجھے اس کے نقصانات سے محفوظ رکھ۔‘‘
Translation: “Praise be to God who feeds but does not eat, who gives shelter but does not seek shelter, provides wealth but does not get poor. O‟ my God! Praise belongs to You for the food and stew You have provided for me with ease and well-being for me and without me having to struggle hard. In the Name of God – the best of the Names. In the Name of God – Lord of the heavens and the earth. In the Name of God – By whose Name no one in the heavens or the earth can harm us. He is All-Hearing and All-Knowing. O‟ my God! Please make me prosperous with this food. And give me refuge from its evil, make me gain its benefits and safeguard me from its harms.”
The following is narrated through a chain of documents to Harun ibn Musa al-Talakbari, on the authority of Abi Basir, on the authority of Abi Abdullah (as): “Whenever you want to break your fast after a day of fasting during the month of Ramadhan say,
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَعَانَنَا فَصُمْنَا وَ رَزَقَنَا فَأَفْطَرْنَا اللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْهُ مِنَّا وَ أَعِنَّا عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلِّمْنَا فِيهِ وَ تَسَلَّمْهُ مِنَّا فِي يُسْرٍ مِنْكَ وَ عَافِيَةٍ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي قَضَى عَنِّي يَوْماً مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ.
اللہ کا شکر ہے جس نے ہماری مدد کی اور روزہ افطار کرنے کے لیے کھانا مہیا کیا۔ اے خدا! براہِ کرم ہم سے اسے قبول فرما، روزے رکھنے میں ہماری مدد فرما اور ہمیں صحت و تندرستی عطا فرما اور اسے تیری عطا کردہ آسانی اور صحت کے ساتھ گزرنے دے۔ اور اللہ کا شکر ہے جس نے مجھے ماہ رمضان کے باقی دنوں کے روزے رکھنے کی توفیق بخشی۔
„Praise be to God Who helped us fast and provided us with food for breaking our fasts. O‟ God! Please accept it from us, help us with fasting and bless us with health and let it pass in ease and health provided by You. And praise be to God Who blessed me with fasting of another day of the month of Ramadhan.‟
It has been narrated that Musa ibn Ja‟far al-Kazim (as) said the following on the authority of his forefathers (as): “When at the time of breaking your fast in the evening say the following so that the reward for all who fasted on that day is recorded for You.
إِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ صَائِماً فَقُلْ عِنْدَ إِفْطَارِكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ وَ عَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ يُكْتَبُ لَكَ أَجْرُ مَنْ صَامَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ.
اے میرے خدا! میں نے تیرے لیے روزہ رکھا اور تیرے ہی رزق سے افطار کیا۔ اور میں تجھ پر بھروسہ کرتا ہوں۔ میرے لیے اس روزے کا ثواب لکھ دیں۔ میں نے تجھ پر بھروسہ کیا ہے۔"
„O‟ my God! I fasted for You and I break my fast with Your Sustenance. And I rely upon You. Please record the reward for this fasting for me. In You I have placed my trust.”
Dua Noor (Iftar)
This supplication brings about great merit. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) recommended this dua to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and said that Jibreel (as) came to me and said, "Whoever in the holy month of Ramadhan before iftaar recites this dua, Allah answers his prayer, accepts his prayer and fasting, grants his ten requirements, forgives his sins, removes his grief's, makes his heart at ease, grants his wishes, makes his deeds to ascend upward with the deeds of prophets and righteous saints and on the Day of Judgment brings him to His presence with his face illuminated like a bright moon."
Sayyid ibn Tawus and al-Kaf`ami have narrated the following supplication:
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ النُّوْرِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَ رَبَّ الْكُرْسِيِّ الرَّفِيْعِ وَ رَبَّ الْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُوْرِ وَ رَبَّ الشَّفْعِ الْكَبِيْرِ وَ النُّوْرِ الْعَزِيْزِ وَ رَبَّ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ الْإِنْجِيْلِ وَ الزَّبُوْرِ وَالْفُرْقَانِ الْعَظِيْمِ أَنْتَ إِلٰهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ إِلٰهُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ- لَآ إِلٰهَ فِيْهِمَا غَيْرُكَ وَ أَنْتَ مَلِكُ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ مَلِكُ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَا مَلِكَفِيْهِمَا غَيْرُك أَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْكَبِيْرِ وَ نُوْرِ وَجْهِكَ الْمُنِيْرِ وَ بِمُلْكِكَ الْقَدِيْمِ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ أَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ أَشْرَقَ بِه كُلُّ شَيْءٍ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ أَشْرَقَتْ بِهِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ صَلَحَ بِهِ الْأَوَّلُوْنَ وَ بِهٖ يَصْلُحُ الْاٰخِرُوْنَ يَا حَيُّ قَبْلَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ وَ يَا حَيُّ بَعْدَ كُلِّ حَيٍّ وَ يَا حَيُّ لَآ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَ اجْعَلْ لِيْ مِنْ أَمْرِي يُسْرًا وَ فَرَجًا قَرِيْبًا وَ ثَبِّتْنِيْ عَلٰى دِيْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلٰى سُنَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ وَ اجْعَلْ عَمَلِيْ فِي الْمَرْفُوْعِ الْمُتَقَبَّلِ وَ هَبْ لِي كَمَا وَهَبْتَ لِأَوْلِيَآئِكَ وَ أَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ فَإِنِّيْ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَ وَ مُتَوَكِّلٌ عَلَيْكَ مُنِيْبٌ إِلَيْكَ مَعَ مَصِيْرِيْ إِلَيْكَ وَ تَجْمَعُ لِيْ وَ تَجْمَعَ لِیْ وَ لِأَهْلِيْ وَ وُلْدِيَ الْخَيْرَ كُلَّهٗ وَ تَصْرِفُ عَنِّيْ وَ عَنْ وُلْدِيْ وَ أَهْلِيَ الشَّرَّ كُلَّهٗ أَنْتَ الْحَنَّانُ الْمَنَّانُ بَدِيْعُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ تُعْطِي الْخَيْرَ مَنْ تَشَآءُ وَ تَصْرِفُهُ عَمَّنْ تَشَآءُ فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَآ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
اے عظیم نور کے مالک، اے بلند آسمانوں کے رب، اے بہتے ہوئے سمندروں کے مالک، اے عظیم شفاعت کرنے والے اور روشن نور کے مالک، اے تورات اور انجیل اور عظیم فرقان (حق و باطل کے درمیان معیار) کے رب، تو ہی آسمانوں اور زمین کا واحد خدا ہے۔ تیرے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں۔ تو ہی ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے۔ تیرے سوا کوئی طاقتور نہیں۔ تو ہی آسمانوں اور زمین کا مالک ہے۔ تیرے سوا کوئی مالک نہیں۔ میں تیرے عظیم نام، تیرے روشن اعلیٰ وجود اور تیرے ہمیشہ قائم رہنے والے بادشاہت کے وسیلے سے تجھ سے دعا کرتا ہوں، اے ہمیشہ زندہ، اے خود قائم رہنے والے، اے ہمیشہ زندہ، اے خود قائم رہنے والے۔ میں تجھ سے اس نام کے واسطے سے دعا کرتا ہوں جو ہر چیز کو روشن کرتا ہے اور آسمانوں اور زمین میں چمکتا ہے، تیرے اس نام کے ذریعے جو تمام زمانوں کے لوگوں کو شروع سے آخر تک راہ راست پر لے آتا ہے۔ اے ہمیشہ زندہ جو ہر چیز سے پہلے موجود تھا، اے ہمیشہ زندہ جو ہمیشہ موجود رہے گا جب کوئی اور زندگی نہ ہو گی، اے ہمیشہ زندہ تیرے سوا کوئی خدا نہیں۔ حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم اور ان کی آل پر سلام ہو۔ میرے گناہوں کو معاف فرما، میرے معاملات کو آسان بنا دے، ظہور کو قریب کر دے اور ہمیں محمد اور آل محمد کے دین پر ثابت قدم رکھ، محمد اور آل محمد کی ہدایت پر، محمد اور آل محمد کی سنت پر، ان پر سلام ہو۔ میرے اعمال کو بلند اور قبول شدہ بنا دے، اور مجھ پر ویسا ہی فضل کر جیسا تو نے اپنے نیک اور فرمانبردار بندوں پر کیا۔ یقیناً میں تجھ پر ایمان رکھنے والا ہوں، تجھ پر بھروسہ کرنے والا ہوں، اور توبہ کرتے ہوئے تیری طرف لوٹنے والا ہوں، اور تیرے پاس میرا سفر ختم ہوتا ہے۔ میرے لیے، میرے خاندان اور میرے والدین کے لیے ہر خیر کو جمع کر دے، اور میرے، میرے خاندان اور میرے والدین کے لیے ہر شر کو دور کر دے۔ بے شک تو ہی مہربان، مددگار اور آسمانوں اور زمین کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے۔ مجھے وہ بہترین چیز عطا کر جو تو چاہتا ہے اور مجھے اپنی رحمت سے محفوظ رکھ، اے مہربان اور رحم کرنے والے۔
O Lord of the magnificent light, Lord of the highest heaven,
Lord of the flowing seas, Lord of the great intercessor
Lord of the flowing seas, Lord of the great intercessor and brilliant light, Lord ot fhe Tawrat and Injil, and the grand Furqan (criterion).
You are the only God of the heavens and the earth.
There is no other god save you. You are powerful over everything in the heavens and earth. There is no powerful save You.
You are the owner of the heavens and earth. There is no owner save you.
I beseech you through your great name, your brilliant superior being, your ever existing kingdom
O Ever living, O Self –Subsisting, O Ever living, O self Subsisting.
I beseech you in thy name that illuminates everything
and by thy name that radiates in the heavens and earth,
thy name which sets the people of all times on the right path from the foremost to the last.
O Ever Living who was there before anything else. O Ever Living who is ever existing when no life shall exist.
O Ever Living there is no god save You. Peace be upon Mohammed and his progeny.
Forgive me my sins, make my affairs easy, and the reappearance near
and keep us firm in the religion of Mohammed and family of Mohammed, on the guidance of Mohammed and family of Mohammed, on the sunnah of Mohammed and his family, peace be upon him and his family.
Make my deeds lofty and accepted.
Bestow upon me like you have granted your pious and obedient servants.
For surely I am a believer in you, trusting in you,
turning repentantly to you, to you is my journeys end.
Gather for me and for my family and my parents all good
and remove for me , my family and parents all evil.
You are the compassionate, the supporter and the originator of the heavens and the earth.
Give me the best that you wish and protect me from Your Grace
O Kind and compassionate.
It is recommended to say the following at the first bite of the food with which the fasting is broken:
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
يَا وَاسِعَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ اِغْفِرْ لِي
شُروع اَللہ کے پاک نام سے جو بڑا مہر بان نہايت رحم والا ہے اے معاف کرنے والے قادر مطلق مجھے معاف کر دے۔
Translation: In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
O the Liberal in forgiving: (please do) forgive me.
Forgiveness of Almighty Allah is the reward of saying this supplication.
The following is narrated through a chain of documents to Mufaz‟zal ibn Umar – may God have mercy on him – on the authority of As-Sadiq (as) that God‟s Prophet (as) told the Commander of the Faithful Ali (as): “O‟ Abal Hassan! This is the month of Ramadhan that has come. First say supplications before breaking your fast as Gabriel descended to me and said, „O‟ Muhammad (as)! God the Sublime would fulfill the prayers of whoever recites these supplications before breaking his fast in the month of Ramadhan, and would accept his fasting and praying, would fulfill ten of his prayers, forgive his sins, remove his sorrows, relieve his destitution, fulfill his needs, recompense his debts, raise his deeds up along with the deeds of the Prophets (as) and the truthful ones, and make his face shining white like the moon of the fourteenth night.‟ ” I asked, “O‟ Gabriel! What are they?” Gabriel replied this Dua Noor

اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْٓ أَسْئَلُكَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ سَبَقَتْ غَضَبَكَ وَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ ذَكَرْتَنِيْ بِهَا وَ لَمْ أَكُ شَيْئًا مَذْكُوْرًا وَّ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ أَنْشَأْتَنِيْ بِهَا وَ رَبَّيْتَنِيْ صَغِيْرًا وَّ كَبِيْرًا وَّ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ نَقَلْتَنِيْ بِهَا مِنْ ظُهُوْرِ الْآبَاءِ إِلٰى بُطُوْنِ الْأُمَّهَاتِ مِنْ لَّدُنْ آدَمَ ع إِلٰى اٰخِرِ الْغَايَاتِ وَ أَقَمْتَ لِلْاٰبَاءِ وَ الْأُمَّهَاتِ بِالْأَقْوَاتِ وَ الْكِسْوَاتِ وَ الْمُهِمَّاتِ وَ وَقَيْتَهُمْ مِمَّا جَرَى عَلَى الْأُمَمِ الْهَالِكَةِ مِنَ النَّكَبَاتِ وَ الْاٰفَاتِ وَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ دَلَلْتَنِيْ بِهَا عَلَيْكَ وَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ شَرَّفْتَنِيْ بِهَا بِطَاعَتِكَ وَ التَّقَرُّبِ إِلَيْكَ وَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ جَعَلْتَنِيْ بِهَا مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ أَعَزِّ الْأَنْبِيَا!ءِ عَلَيْكَ وَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِيْ حَلُمْتَ بِهَا عَنِّيْ عِنْدَ سُوٓءِ أَدَبِيْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ وَ بِالْمَرَاحِمِ وَ الْمَكَارِمِ الَّتِيْ أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِتَفْصِيْلِهَا وَ قَبُوْلِهَا وَ تَكْمِيْلِهَا وَ بِمَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّأَنْ تُطَهِّرَنَا مِنَ الْعُيُوْبِ وَ الذُّنُوْبِ بِالْعَافِيَةِ مِنْهَا وَ الْعَفْوِ عَنْهَا حَتّٰى نَصْلَحَ لِلتَّشْرِيْفِ بِمُجَالَسَتِكَ وَ الْجُلُوْسِ عَلٰى مَآئِدَةِ ضِيَافَتِكَ وَ أَنْ تُطَهِّرَ طَعَامَنَا هٰذَا وَ شَرَابَنَا وَ كُلَّمَا نَتَقَلَّبُ فِيْهِ مِنْ فَوَآئِدِ رَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْأَدْنَاسِ وَ الْأَرْجَاسِ وَ حُقُوْقِ النَّاسِ وَ مِنَ الْحَرَامَاتِ وَ الشُّبُهَاتِ وَ أَنْ تُصَانِعَ عَنْهُ أَصْحَابَهُ مِنَ الْأَحْيَآءِ وَ الْأَمْوَاتِ وَ تَجْعَلَهُ طَاهِرًا مُّطَهَّرًا وَّ شِفَآءً لِأَدْيَانِنَا وَ دَوَآءً لِأَبْدَانِنَا وَ طَهَارَةً [مُطَهِّراً] لِسَرَآئِرِنَا وَ ظَوَاهِرِنَا وَ نُوْرًا لِعُقُوْلِنَا وَ نُوْرًا لِأَرْوَاحِنَا وَ مُقَوِّيًا لَّنَا عَلٰى خِدْمَتِكَ وَ بَاعِثًا لَّنَا عَلٰى مُرَاقَبَتِكَ وَ اجْعَلْنَا بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ مِمَّنْ أَغْنَيْتَهٗ بِعِلْمِكَ عَنِ الْمَقَالِ وَ بِكَرَمِكَ عَنِ السُّؤَالِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَآ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
اے میرے خدا! میں تجھ سے تیری اس رحمت کا سوال کرتا ہوں جو تیرے غضب پر غالب ہو اور تیری اس رحمت کا جس سے تو نے مجھے یاد کیا جبکہ میں قابل ذکر نہیں تھا، اور تیری اس رحمت کا جس سے تو نے میری پرورش کی اور بچپن اور جوانی میں میری پرورش کی۔ اور میں تجھ سے اس رحمت کا سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے ساتھ تو نے مجھے حضرت آدم علیہ السلام کے زمانے سے میرے باپ کی کمر سے میری ماں کے پیٹ میں چھڑایا۔ تو نے میرے والد اور والدہ کو خوراک اور لباس سمیت اہم ترین ضروریات فراہم کیں اور ان کو بچایا۔ ان مصیبتوں اور آفتوں سے جنہوں نے پچھلی قوموں کو تباہ کیا۔ میں تجھ سے اس رحمت کا سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے ساتھ تو نے مجھے اپنی طرف راغب کیا۔ اس رحمت سے جس سے تو نے مجھے اپنی اطاعت اور قربت سے نوازا ہے۔ میں تجھ سے اس رحمت کا سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے ساتھ تو نے مجھے اپنے سب سے معزز انبیاء (علیہم السلام) کے پیروکاروں میں شامل کیا اور اس رحمت کے ساتھ جس کے ساتھ میں نے تیرے سامنے بے ادبی کی تو نے تحمل کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ میں تجھ سے اس رحمت اور شرافت کا سوال کرتا ہوں جس کے بارے میں تو خوب جانتا ہے اور ان کی قبولیت اور تکمیل کو۔ میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ محمد اور ان کی آل پر رحمت نازل فرما اور عافیت اور معافی دے کر ہمیں خطاؤں اور گناہوں سے پاک فرما تاکہ میں تیری بارگاہ میں حاضری اور تیری جماعت کے دسترخوان پر بیٹھنے کی اہلیت حاصل کروں۔ میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ ہمارے کھانے پینے کی اشیاء اور اپنی رحمت کے ان تمام فوائد کو جو میں استعمال کرتا ہوں کسی بھی آلودگی، غلاظت یا دوسرے لوگوں کے حقوق سے، اور حرام اور مشتبہ چیزوں سے پاک کر دوں اور ان کی مساوی قیمت ان کے حقداروں کو ادا کر دے۔ زندہ یا مردہ. میں تجھ سے سوال کرتا ہوں کہ انہیں پاکیزہ اور پاکیزہ بنا دے، ہمارے دین کی اصلاح کا ذریعہ، ہمارے جسموں کے لیے دوا، ہمارے خیالات اور ظاہر کے لیے پاکیزگی، اور ہماری عقل کے لیے روشنی اور ہماری روحوں کے لیے روشنی، ہمیں تیری بندگی کے لیے تقویت دینے کے لیے۔ اور آپ کی طرف توجہ دینے کی وجہ کے طور پر۔ براہِ کرم ہمیں ان لوگوں میں شامل کر دیں جو آپ کے علم پر بھروسہ کرتے ہوئے بات کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں رکھتے ہیں اور آپ کی مہربانی سے آپ کی سخاوت کی وجہ سے سوال کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے - اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے، سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے۔"
O my God! I ask You by Your Mercy which overtakes Your Wrath, and by Your Mercy with which You noted me while I was not noteworthy, and by Your Mercy with which You nurtured me, and brought me up during childhood and adulthood. And I ask You by the Mercy with which You delivered me from the loins of my father onto the womb of my mother since the time of Adam (as). You provided my father and mother with most important needs including food and clothing and rescued them from the hardships and calamities that destroyed previous nations. I ask You by the Mercy with which You directed me to Yourself; by the Mercy with which You honored me to Your Obedience and Proximity. I ask You by the Mercy with which You established me to be amongst the followers of Your most honored Prophets (as) and by the Mercy with which You showed forebearance whenever I acted impolitely in front of You. You by the Mercy and Nobility that You know best about and their acceptance and completion. I ask I ask You by what is befitting You to bestow Your Blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny (as) and purify us from faults and sins by granting well-being and pardoning so that I may attain the qualifications for attending Your Presence and sitting at the table of Your Party. I ask You to purify our food, drinks and all the benefits of Your Mercy that I use from any pollution, filth, or other people‟s rights, and from the forbidden and the doubtful and pay back their equivalent value to their rightful owners whether dead or alive. I ask You to make them pure and clean, as means of improving our religion as medication for our bodies, purification for our thoughts and appearance, and as illumination for our intellect and illumination for our souls, as means of strengthening us to serve You, and as a cause of being attentive to You. Please let us be amongst those who are needless of talking when relying upon Your Knowledge and are needless of questioning due to Your Generosity by Your Mercy – O‟ the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.”
Section 11 Supplications for AFTER Breaking the Fast /When you finish eating- Iqbal Aamal
1.The following narrations quoted on the authority of the Immaculate Divine Leaders (as) based on a chain of documents to Abi Abdullah Ja‟far ibn Muhammad (as), on the authority of his forefathers (as), on the authority of God‟s Prophet (as) and it seems to be for after breaking the fast.
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْنَا وَ عَلٰى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْنَا فَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنَّا ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأٓءُ وَ ابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوْقُ وَ بَقِيَ الْأَجْرُ.
"اے میرے خدا! ہم تیرے لیے روزہ رکھتے ہیں اور تیرے دیے ہوئے کھانے سے افطار کرتے ہیں۔ تو براہِ کرم ہم سے قبول فرمائیں۔ پیاس مٹ گئی، رگیں تر ہو گئیں لیکن ثواب باقی ہے۔‘‘
“O‟ my God! We fast for You, and we break the fast with the food You give us. Thus please accept it from us. Thirst has vanished, the veins have moistened but the reward has remained.”
2.The following is narrated through a chain of documents to Al-Tabarsi – may God have mercy on him – who narrated the following supplications for when you finish eating food on the authority of the Divine Leaders (as):
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَطْعَمَنِيْ فَأَشْبَعَنِي ْوَ سَقَانِيْ فَأَرْوَانِيْ وَ صَانَنِيْ وَ حَمَانِيْ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ عَرَّفَنِي الْبَرَكَةَ وَ الْيُمْنَ بِمَا أَصَبْتُهُ وَ تَرَكْتُهُ مِنْهُ اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ هَنِيْئًا مَّرِيْئًا لَّا وَبِيًّا وَّلَا دَوِيًّا وَّ أَبْقِنِيْ بَعْدَهُ سَوِيًّا قَائِمًا بِشُكْرِكَ مُحَافِظًا عَلٰى طَاعَتِكَ وَ ارْزُقْنِيْ رِزْقًا دَارًّا وَّ أَعِشْنِيْ عَيْشًا قَارًّا وَّ اجْعَلْنِيْ بَارًّا وَّ اجْعَلْ مَا يَتَلَقَّانِيْ فِي الْمَعَادِ مُبْهِجًا سَارًّا بِرَحْمَتِكَ.
خدا کا شکر ہے جس نے مجھے کھلایا اور سیر کیا۔ مجھے پینے دیا اور میری پیاس کو دور کیا. میری حفاظت اور حمایت کی۔ اللہ کا شکر ہے جس نے مجھے ان کاموں میں برکتیں اور نیک شگون سکھائے جو میں نے کیے یا کرنے سے گریز کیا۔ اے میرے خدا! براہِ کرم کھانے کو لذیذ اور فائدہ مند بنا دے، طاعون یا دیگر بیماریاں نہ ہوں، اور کھانے کے بعد مجھے تندرست رکھ اور تیرا شکر ادا کرتا رہوں اور تیری اطاعت کا خیال رکھوں۔ اے خدا! براہِ کرم مجھے کثرت سے رزق عطا فرما، اور مجھے مستحکم زندگی عطا فرما۔ مجھے نیکی کرنے والا بنا دے اور قیامت کے دن جو کچھ بھی مجھے ملے وہ اپنی رحمت سے میرے لیے خوشی کا باعث بنا۔
“Praise be to God who fed me and satiated me; gave me drinks and removed my thirst; protected and supported me. Praise be to God who taught me the blessings and good omen in deeds I performed or avoided doing. O‟ my God! Please let the food be delicious and beneficial, not accompanied with plague or other illnesses, and keep me healthy after eating it and continue to thank You and watchful of Your Obedience. O‟ God! Please bless me with ample sustenance, and give me a stable life. Let me be a good doer and let whatever I may encounter on the Resurrection Day be a source of happiness for me out of Your Mercy.
3.It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Ja‟far (as) that when Ali (as) ate his meal to break the fast, he (as) stayed at the tablecloth until the tablecloth was picked up and then said the following,
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْنَا وَ عَلٰى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْنَا فَتَقَبَّلْهُ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ.
"اے میرے خدا! ہم تیرے لیے روزہ رکھتے ہیں اور تیرے دیے ہوئے کھانے سے افطار کرتے ہیں۔ تو براہِ کرم ہم سے قبول فرمائیں۔ بے شک تو سننے والا، جاننے والا ہے!‘‘
“O‟ my God! We fast for You, and we break the fast with the food You give us. Thus please accept it from us. Indeed You are the Hearer, the Knower!”
