Recommended acts to be performedand and Dua'a to be recited on the first Day of the Month of Dhul-hijjah
A number of devotional acts may be practiced on this blessed day:
(1). Fast - It is recommended to observe fasting on this day, for its reward is equal to the reward of eighty-month worship
(2). Namaz e Fatima SA It is recommended to offer Salat Fatimah. According to Shaykh al-Tusi, this prayer consists of four units each couple of which are offered separately. At each unit, Surah al-Faatehah is recited once and Surah al-Tawheed repeated fifty times. After the Taslim statement, the famous Tasbih al-Zahra’ litany is done. Thereafter, the following doxology (zikr) is said

Ist unit: Recite Surah Hamd once and Surah Tawheed 50 times
2nd unit: Recite Surah Hamd once and Surah Tawheed 50 times
After Namaz - Recite the Tasbih of Sayyeda Fatima (peace be upon her) and say
(3). Offer 2 Unit Namaz before Zawal. It is recommended to offer a two unit prayer half an hour before midday (zohr) (zohr). At each unit, Surah al-Faatehah is recited once and Surah al-Tawheed, Ayah al-Kursi, and Surah al-Qadr repeated ten times each

Ist unit: Recite Surah Hamd once, Surah Tawheed 10 times, Ayatul Kursi 10 times and Surah Qadr 10 times
2nd unit: Recite Surah Hamd once, Surah Tawheed 10 times, Ayatul Kursi 10 times and Surah Qadr 10 times
(4). Say This Statement, One who fears an oppressor and says the following words on this day will be saved, by Almighty Allah
Prophet Abraham was born on this day and in accordance with reports cited by Shaikh Mufid and Shaikh Tusi, Imam Ali (peace be upon him) married Sayyeda Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her) on this day.
